We hope everyone has had a great week so far. We wanted to take a moment to remind everyone about a few items regarding the DC trip planning.
1. This Friday students will have our one and only fundraiser for the DC trip. This is an individual fundraiser and all the details will be on the website beginning on Friday. We will use teamtime on Friday to discuss this with any 8th grade students going on the DC trip.
2. Next Monday we will roll out two things regarding DC. First we will roll out the DC shirt design. Students will have just over two weeks to design the logo and this will be entirely voted on by the 8th grade. All details will be on this site by next Monday 11/5.
3. On Monday 11/5 We will also roll out our Arlington essay instructions. Students will have the ability to write a brief persuasive essay describing why they should be chosen by the 8th Grade Language Arts Staff/administration to be chosen for assisting to lay the wreath at Arlington National Cemetery. Only 4 students will be chosen. Their persuasive essay will have a rubric/scoring standards established by the Language Arts department. Again, all instructions will be at www.mrmsdc2019.weebly.com as they are rolled out.
